Step by step

How it works

No big-bang switch, no risk to your data. Here is exactly what happens, in the order it happens.

1. You tell us what your office actually does

A short call or visit: how many PCs, what software you use day to day, what your printer setup looks like, and what would make you nervous about a change. This takes about 20 minutes.

2. Free office checkup

We inspect your machines and give you a straight answer: which PCs are good candidates, which software has a Linux equivalent, and whether anything in your workflow needs special handling. If Linux isn’t a good fit for your business, we say so here and the conversation ends with no charge.

3. We clone your entire drive before touching anything

Before any installation happens, we make a full backup image of your current drive — files, settings, and email accounts — onto a separate backup disk. This is what protects you: if anything ever needs restoring, we restore from that image rather than from memory or guesswork.

Want to be able to switch back to Windows yourself, instantly, without waiting for us? We can add a second drive to your PC and leave your old Windows installation physically intact and bootable on it. This is an optional paid add-on — most desktop PCs support it, some laptops don’t have a spare drive bay, and we’ll tell you which applies to your machine during the free checkup.

4. Quiet installation, one PC at a time

We install and configure Linux outside office hours where possible, set up your printer, Wi-Fi, shared folders, and office software, and restore your files into familiar folder names — Documents, Desktop, Downloads.

5. A short, plain-language training session

Thirty minutes with your staff, focused only on what they’ll actually touch: opening files, printing, using email and WhatsApp Web, and where to click if something looks unfamiliar. We leave a one-page printed cheat sheet at each desk.

6. We stay reachable

For the first month after setup, WhatsApp messages to us are answered the same business day. After that, our monthly care plan covers ongoing updates and support if you’d like it — billed month to month with no contract, entirely optional.

Timeline: a single PC is usually done in half a day. A small office of 5–10 PCs is typically completed over a weekend, so Monday morning starts on the new setup without lost work time.
